The Gifted and Talented program in Western Australia helps bright students get into special academic programs at top schools. To qualify, students must pass the Academic Selective Entrance Test (ASET), which has four sections:

Reading Comprehension: Tests deep understanding through multiple-choice questions on passages like poems, stories, and articles.

Writing (Creative Writing): Students respond to a stimulus with a creative, informative, or persuasive piece, demonstrating structured and engaging writing.

Quantitative Reasoning: Assesses problem-solving skills using numbers, algebra, measurement, space, and data.

Abstract Reasoning: Evaluates logical thinking by analyzing shapes, patterns, and relationships to solve problems.
